As first I have to say I don’t like cinnamon. I LOVE spices and herbs but not that one! But from time to time I try something that I am usually avoiding. In is incredible how many times I was wrong
So this time I tried Cinnamon rolls. Here is the recipe:
2 spoons butter
2 spoons honey
1/5 L milk
20 g yeast
salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 and 1/2 cup flour (white and rye)
1 spoon Nescafe
1 lemon yeast
Heat honey, milk and butter till liquid in a small saucepan.
In a large mixing bowl combine all ‘dry’ ingredients. Add milk mixture, egg and water if needed. Beat well. When the dough has just pulled together turn it out onto a floured surface. Knead it until smoot about 5 minutes.
butter slice
2 spoons cinnamon powder
3 spoons sugar (large crystals)
5 spoons nuts, cropped
Roll out dough into a rectangle, 1 cm thin. Spread dough with melted butter. sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and nuts. Roll up dough. Cut into 2 cm equal size rolls. Each of them twist couple times. Cover and let rise until doubled – that will take you about 30 minutes. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until is browned.

Love the look of these sweet little rolls. I’ve been wanting to bake for breakfast for a long time, maybe this will be the one!
Thank you for that and for stopped by!
