Small winter flowers are perfect for winter time. Rich in chocolate with lemon/lime icing. But before you start preparing them make sure you have same size muffin papers as your cookie cutters are 😉 Homemade herbal tea is a good and healthy implement to them in these cold days.
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups white all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tea-spoon baking soda
1 vanilla sugar
1/3 cup baking chocolate
1 cup almond milk
Mix all dry dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add almond milk and mix well with the spatula to get fluffy texture. Bake it in large baking pan at 170C/ 340F – should be around 4-5 cm (1 1/2 inch) high. Like thick roll cake. When baked cool it down.
1/2 cup ground sugar
zest and juice of one lemon or lime (could also be orange)
Stir both together and pour it over chilled. When solidify cut out small flowers (diameter around 5 cm/2 inch).
