It’s finally time for the first locally grown strawberries! And the first Strawberry Cake!
Although the first strawberries aren’t as aromatic as they are later, these were extra sweet!

Beautiful cake! Is the cottage cheese you are using anything like Russian ‘tvorog’ by any chance?
Many thanks! ;) Now you caught me :) Unfortunately I am not familiar with ‘tvorog’ yet, but regarding what google say about should be something like that. Something between ricotta and pot cheese works the best for me.
The other day we found little tiny Russian store close to where I work – so far we only tried beers and Alenka Chocolate ;)

Oh, so beautiful !!! I love strawberry shortcake, and this really “takes the cake”! ;-> I used four strawberries for garnish on this morning’s breakfast. They are plentiful here now.

beautiful! have not seen cottage cheese is frosting before. Interesting–I think I would like :-) love the crumb, wow that looks good.
If combined with fresh fruits, cottage cheese is way healthier and lighter than mascarpone and gives that lovely texture. And thank you ;)

COttage or pot cheese is lighter than cream cheese – I guess. Taste little bit different… Thank you for your kind compliments!

Wow, really?? That is so fast, I’m so impressed! It usually takes me maybe between 30 min to an hour to complete a full photo shoot if I’m really trying. I need to take lessons from you! :)
I don’t like cool dinner so I have to do it fast :) But the results I ended up with aren’t always what I wanted ;) You put more effort that is why you have wonderful results and that is something I should learn from you!
